When we first moved into the Playhouse building the room that we now call the Green Room was locked and off-limits to us.  It contained ‘artifacts’ and we weren’t allowed to even look!  Tom finally pressed City Staff as to what was really in there and they gave him a brief tour.  It was full of boxes of things found in the area ranging from early Native American to Mission days and later.  He suggested that the museum next door might be a better home and we contacted David Belardes, who welcomed the suggestion, and we threw in a glass display case and carried it all over to the Blas Aguilar Adobe – where it’s on display now. We were then able to create the Green Room and we dedicated it to one of our recently deceased hard-working volunteers, Diane Greene. She had worked as our costumer for the Playhouse and her photo hangs in our Green Room to this day!
